Instead of posting endless pictures of rib jigs, ribs, other parts of wings and things ad infinitim,  I will post highlights of the beginnings of the construction of the Fisher Horizon 1.

Initially, I was going to build with Douglas Fir because it was readily available, but after using it for the tail surfaces, decided I hated working with it.

Instead, I used local spruce, and Sitka spruce for the most important parts, like the wing spars.  I have many, many pictures logging the build and if you need help with a particular phase of your construction, please feel free to email me.

These are some examples of what the Horizon 1 is supposed to look like.  The body is a bit chunky, and the tail is a little 70's-ish, but it is a robust design and easy to build.

Well, one thing leads to another....at least for me.  In the excitement of finishing my new Fisher 303, I got started on the Horizon 1, and got all the ribs completed and the tail surfaces done between Feb and March of 2006....

Then there was a long pause... life... 7 years later...
